Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a unidirectional fiber-reinforced resin material in which reinforcing fiber is preferably oriented by employing as a metal mold in which many pins are stood in a pectinated shape on one of a plurality of molds. CONSTITUTION:Folding guides 4, 5 are disposed on both outsides of a metal mold 2 having a pair of molds 2a and 2b. Then, many pins 15, 15' are stood in a pectinated shape on the front face of one mold 2b, and reinforcing fiber (e.g., carbon fiber) F impregnated with uncured resin are guided by many pins 15, 15' to be arranged while alternately winding on the guide 4, 5 of both outsides. Then, the molds are clamped in the arranged state, heated to form an intermediate molding in which the uncured resin is B-staged (semicured). Thereafter, the intermediate molding is heated in a metal mold having no pin to be completely cured to obtain a unidirectional fiber-reinforced resin material in which the fiber is preferably arranged. The molded resin material thus obtained can be employed as a blade of a helicopter or a wind mill.
