Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a short flame and perform thermal recovery in a gasification cylinder by a method wherein an inner cylinder is integrally and vertically arranged at a bottom part of the gasification cylinder, a burner head is arranged at an upper end of the inner cylinder and a central air nozzle is arranged at a lower part of the inner cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A part of combustion air from an adjusting valve 28 is axially injected of an inner cylinder 15 and a burner head 20 as central secondary air from a central air nozzle 16. The secondary air is outwardly directed by a plate 17 so as to enclose a flame at the burner head 20 together with the outer secondary air from the plate 17 to promote supplying of air to the flame. With this arrangement, the flame is made short. Hot discharged gas through combustion at the burner head 20 is induced with central secondary air injected at a central air port 1 and the inner surface of the inner cylinder 15 is heated so as to perform heat recovery for a gasification cylinder 14.
