Abstract

PURPOSE:To control the cooling water temp. of a sprinkler type cooling tower at constant one by a method wherein the inlet end outlet temp. of the cooling water of a cooling tower and the wet-bulb temp. of the outside air are detected and the necessary air amount is computed on the basis of these data and the blade angle of a cooling tower fan is controlled. CONSTITUTION:The inlet and outlet temp. of the cooling water temp. of a cooling tower are detected by temp. detectors 8, 9 respectively and further the wet-bulb temp. of the outside air is detected by a wet-bulb thermometer 11 and these detected data are fed into a computing part. At the computing part, the necessary air amount and the blade angle corresponding to this air amount are computed from the measure values and set values. According to the computed result, the blade angle of a cooling tower fan 1 is controlled and the temp. of the cooling water is kept at a target value. That is, the temp. of the cooling water is kept constant.
