Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain the fetching of the picture data of a self-address in a work station(WS) by storing receiving data, transferring the first page of the data to respective WS and transferring all of the pages of the receiving data to the correspondent WS in correspondence to a request from the WS. CONSTITUTION:In a local/area network (LAN) system 1, the picture data from respective facsimile (FAX) equipments 6 are received in an FAX terminal transmitting and receiving part 13 of an FAX communication station (FCS) 8. The first page of the data, which is composed of the receiving list of a receiving time, a pointer, a pointer data length, etc., is stored to a system memory 10 and the remaining pages are stored to an external storing medium 12. Then, the contents of the memory 10 are transferred to respective WS 2. In correspondence to a transferring request from the arbitrary WS 2 based on the data of the first page, all of page data to be correspondent are read from the medium 12 and the picture data of the self-address can be fetched in the WS.
