Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to facilitate the removal of a paper material roll and replacement thereof by providing a lifter for elevating a pallet for separation and lowering the pallet for return with respect to a conveyer drive system, at a position adjacent to a mill roll stand, on each of two paper material roll introduction conveyers. CONSTITUTION:Introduction conveyers IN1, IN2 each provided with a lifter 34 on its outside thereof so that swing arms 13 of two swing arm mechanisms 28, 29 constituting a mill roll stand 10 are rotatable laterally over a predetermined angle, are laid, and a delivery conveyer EX is laid in the middle section. A paper material roll 14 on a pallets is loaded between arms 13 due to the rotation of the swing arms 13, elevation of the lifters 34 for separation and the lowering of the lifters 34 for return, and is discharged onto the delivery conveyer EX in association with the rotation of the swing arms 13. Thus, during the removal and replacement of paper material rolls accompanying with a complicated change in order, it is possible to greatly shorten the cycle time therefor, and it is possible to facilitate the automation.
