As a cage 21 travels, pulses are generated from a pulse generator 15 in a number matching the distance traveled, and an MPU 13 computes acceleration or deceleration in accordance with the number of the pulses to cause a display device 16 for use in the display of maintenance data to selectively display the acceleration or deceleration of the cage 21 in place of maintenance data. Thus, the acceleration and deceleration of the cage 21 can be checked easily without increase in the burden of maintenance personnel, and the man-hour of the maintenance work required to adjust riding comfort can be reduced.
