CONSTITUTION:A rotary table 1 is rotated, and a molten glass gob is supplied into a die 5 from a glass melting furnace 6 through a chute 7. A press cylinder 21 is simultaneously actuated against the die 5 charged with the gob, and a plunger 10 is lowered. The velocity signal of the plunger 10 detected by a linear sensor 22 provided in parallel with the cylinder 21 is inputted to a comparison arithmetic device 23 and compared with a velocity control signal from a setting device 20, the deviation signal is inputted to a servo valve or servomotor 24, the cylinder 21 is actuated by the servo valve or servomotor 24 to lower the plunger 10, and glassware is formed between the plunger 10 and the die 5.
