PURPOSE:To control distribution of gas flowing speed in radius direction at high accuracy by finding reduction ratio of sintered ore and decreased quantity of hematite from gas composition and temp. in a blast furnace, further finding reduction powderized quantity and the gas flowing distribution in the radius direction and adjusting distribution of charging raw material in the radius direction. CONSTITUTION:The gas composition and temp. in the blast furnace 1 are measured by a measuring part 7 in measuring instruments 5 and modulated to the prescribed signal by an input device 11 to input into an arithmetic unit 12. In the arithmetic unit 12, grain size distribution of the sintered ore at the time of charging and sintered characteristic are beforehand inputted as the initial condition, and the reduction ratio of the sintered ore charged is found based on measured gas composition, and from this reduction ratio, the decreased quantity of the hematite in the sintered ore is found. Next, based on the decreased quantity of the hematite and the measured temp., the reduction powderized quantity in the sintered ore is found and by this reduction powderized quantity, the gas flowing distribution in the radius direction is found and stroke of a movable armor 8 is adjusted through a control device 13 to control the distribution of the gas flowing speed in the radius direction to the suitable value.
