Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent lowering of spring characteristics, by a method wherein a compensating part with a thick section is formed closer to the combustion chamber hole side than a bead portion, and protects the bead of each of base plates laminated to an intermediate constituting body. CONSTITUTION:A compensating part 26 is formed closer to the combustion chamber hole 14 side than a bead portion 28. Thereby, the thickness of the compensating part 26 enables reliable compensation of a high gap provided due to distortion of a cylinder head. The uniform deformation state of first and second beads 18 and 20 is ensured by means of first and second compensating peripheral edge parts 12e-1 and 12e-2 which are protruded approximately to the same height. This constitution prevents the occurrence of a beat on the first and second beads 18 and 20, and enables prevention of lowering of spring characteristics.
