Abstract

PURPOSE:To obviate the discoloration of a compsn. for detecting a peroxidation active material even after long-term preservation by incorporating a peroxide, indicator and radical chain inhibitor into the compsn., thereby obtaining the above-mentioned compsn. CONSTITUTION:The compsn. for detecting peroxidation active material is obtd. by incorporating the peroxide, the indicator which can detect the decomposition product of the peroxide by the peroxidation active material in blood and the radical chain inhibitor into said compsn. Hydroperoxide, etc., are used as the peroxide. Benzidine, etc., are used as the indicator. Phenols, arom. amines, etc., are used as the radical chain inhibitor. Decomposition of the peroxide by heat and light is prevented by this inhibitor. The peroxide is decomposed by the peroxide of the peroxidation active material in the blood and is made to color by the indicator by which the occult blood is detected in the occult blood inspection of the bodily fluid and feces. Since the radical chain inhibitor is incorporated into the compns. for detection, the discoloration of the composn. is prevented even after long-term preservation at a high temp.
