Abstract

PURPOSE:To quickly detect the abnormality of a microprogram and to improve the reliability of a system by storing key information corresponding to an address in a control storage in a key storage and collating a key register read out by a microinstruction with the contents of the key storage. CONSTITUTION:Microinstructions in the microprogram are stored in the control storage (CS) 5 correspondingly to modules 1-n to be instruction section. In case of the microinstructions by a control storage address register (CSAR) 2, key information 1-n corresponding to the modules in the CS 5 are stored in a key storage (KS) 11. The key information is read out from the KS 11 correspondingly to addresses obtained from the CSAR 2. The key information from the KS 11 based upon the CSAR 2 is compared/collated with the contents of a key register(KR) 14 for holding the key information by a comparator, and when both the contents coincide with each other as the result of comparison, normal call of the microprogram is decided. At the time of discrepancy, abnormality is decided.
