Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent bird damage perfectly by mounting a minor insulator having small gap horns at one end of an insulator, installing an aux. horn at the periphery of insulator end on the minor insulator side, and by furnishing a guard to prevent contact of birds at the tip of the insulator. CONSTITUTION:A minor insulator 4 is installed by a band fixture A and a bolt and nut B protrudingly on a cap fixture 2 at one end of a long trunk type insulator 1 in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the insulator 1. Small gap horns 5, 6 are installed at the top and bottom of the minor insulator 4 facing perpendicularly to the center axis of the insulator 1. A ring-shaped aux. horn 7 is provided at the periphery of insulator 1 end on the side where the minor insulator 4 is installed. The horn 7 is formed with such a small dia. as not exceeding the cap dia. of the insulator, and the tip 8 at the top is warped to the horn 6 side on the base side. At the tip of the minor insulator 4, a guard 10 is installed to prevent contact of birds with main horn 7 and horn 7. Thus bird damage is prevented certainly.
