Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize operation of a switch by furnishing a switch pressing surface at No.1 or No.2 resilient member, and allowing No.2 resilient member to support the No.1 resilient member either upright or dangling. CONSTITUTION:Control part is equipped with No.1 resilient member 6 with linear spring characteristic, which is represented by the relationship between the depressing force and the amount of elastic deformation in the depressing direction and a No.2 resilient member 7 with decayed depressing force in the middle part of the spring characteristic, which is represented by relationship between the depressing force and the amount of elastic deformation in the depressing direction. A push button switch 1 in which the No.1 resilient member 6 is borne by No.2 resilient member 7 has elastic deformations of No.1 resilient member 6 and No.2 resilient member 7 when a push button 4 is depressed without change of the supporting relationship, and a switch depressing surface 7a presses an insulative sheet 2d, and a movable contact 2b formed thereon contacts a fixed contact 2a. This gives good snapping sense at the time of control, and the No.1 resilient member maintains securely the linear spring characteristic, which stabilizes the operating characteristics of a push button switch.
