Abstract

PURPOSE:To release fatigue from a worker while preventing possible measuring errors, by arranging a test zone between upper and lower transfer devices. CONSTITUTION:A test zone 3 is arranged between upper and lower transfer devices 1 and 2. First, ten tires 8 are prepared and one thereof is placed on an inlet conveyor 15 to be carried to a standby zone 14 and the tire 8 is held with a centering arm 16 to be carried into the zone 3 with a carrier 17 of the device 1. Then, it is grasped with upper and lower spindles 4 and 5 and the spindle SD is rotated to measure a first tire uniformity TU. Then, the rotation of the spindle SD is stopped separate and the tire 8 is held in the zone 14 with the device 1 in such a manner as not to deviate in the phase with the SD. Then, after both the spindles SD are turned by a specified angle, likewise, the tire 8 is carried into the zone 3 to measure a second TU. Subsequently, this measurement is repeated 10 times in total. Moreover, in the same procedure, a total of ten tires are tested 10 times each, shifting the phase.
