Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a harmful influence upon a recording signal because of being out of a track area even when a flaw should arise on a magnetic disk by positioning a magnetic head out of the track area at the time of non-rotation. CONSTITUTION:When a magnetic disk back is mounted, a system computer 10 will be operated, so that the magnetic head 20 will be transferred up to contact with a non-recording track. Then, when a shutter button is not operated, the magnetic head 20 will be transferred out of the track area S. When the shutter button is half pressed, a position of the read prior to its transfer will be read out of a memory 30, so as to bring the magnetic head 20 back into its original position (abutting position on the non-recording track). Then, after recording by pressing the shutter, the magnetic head 20 will be transferred by two tracks.
