Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the reception gain by a gain of a directivity antenna by inserting a transmission/reception branching filter between the directivity antenna and a hybrid circuit so as to allow the level of a reception wave not to be subjected to attenuation by the hybrid circuit. CONSTITUTION:Transmission-reception branching filters 14-17 are provided and a received wave is received by sector antennas 2-5, branched by the branching filters 14-17 and fed to a selection switching circuit 26. A radio wave from the mobile station is received by the sector antennas 2-5 and the reception levels are not identical, the radio wave is received strongest by the antenna facing the direction of the mobile station and the reception level by the other antennas is low. The selection changeover circuit 26 compares the reception levels of the sector antennas 2-5 and selects the sector antenna receiving the radio wave strongest and leads the received wave to a receiver 27. Thus, the reception gain is higher than the transmission gain by 6dB because the received power does not pass through the hybrid circuit.
