Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts and to make a setting position of filter not specifically selected by constituting a filter element with a filter paper and making an axial region of the filter between a fixed end and the other closed end together with that closed end freely movable in a casing. CONSTITUTION:This filter, e.g., a fuel filter 1, is composed of a tubular casing 2 and a bellows type filter element 3 made of a filter paper which is set in that casing 2. The element 3 has a bellows type tubular wall 32 consisting of a high density part of triple sheet and a low density part of double sheet. An opening 34 is formed at an end 33 of that tubular wall 32 toward an inlet 22 of the casing 2 and that end 33 is bonded liquid-tightly to a partition 25. The other end 36 of that tubular wall 32 is sealed like a bag and bonded liquid- tightly to a metallic countersink plate 37; besides, the outer diameter of the plate 37 is smaller than the inside diameter of the casing 2.
