Abstract
PURPOSE: To condense gas refrigerant flowing into a refrigerant recovery container and recover it as liquid refrigerant by cooling the refrigerant recovery container through a precooled cold storage cooling means and coupling the refrigerant recovery container with the refrigerant channel of refrigeration cycle. CONSTITUTION: A check valve 18 fixed to a refrigerant recovery container 17 is coupled with one end of a charging hose 29b which is then closed by a three-way valve 31. A cooling pack 19 previously frozen in a refrigerator is wound around the refrigerant recovery container 17 and inserted into a heat insulating container 20 before a cover is applied. The other end of the charging hose 29 is then coupled with the high pressure side service valve 15 of a refrigerant compressor 3 and the valve 15 is opened. After the air in the charging hose 29a is purged, the three-way valve 31 is operated manually to conduct a refrigeration cycle 2 and the refrigerant recovery container 17. Since the refrigerant recovery container 17 has been cooled by the cooling pack 19, gaseous refrigerant flowing into the refrigerant recovery container 17 is condensed and stored in the container 17.
