Abstract

PURPOSE: To suppress deviation of a bullet from a target by making a spiral band corresponding to the pitch of the spiral groove in the barrel integrally with a loading tube so that the bullet can be projection separated while satisfying ballistical profile requirements. CONSTITUTION: A projection separable loading tube body 34 is made of synthetic resin and provided with a spiral band (turning band) 36. The spiral band is engaged with the spiral groove in the barrel at the time of shooting and sealed with driving gas and the turning motion is transmitted to an under caliper bullet. The loading tube body 34 is provided with three or more grooves 38 extending in the longitudinal direction. The grooves also extend radially from the tubular face to a through body 10 and extend toward the base 28 of the loading tube such that a rib 40 of specified thickness is formed at a defining part on the inside of the groove 38. When a bullet leaves the muzzle of a firearm, the loading tube body 34 is subjected to centrifugal force generated at a large spiral part and crushed immediately along the rib 40 thus ensuring stabilized flight of a fin-stabilized subcaliber projectile.
