Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the reflectivity of a recording layer by providing a transparent thin film layer having a large refractive index between the recording layer contg. an org. dye and a light absorptive layer. CONSTITUTION:The recording layer 3 contg. the org. dye and to transparent thin film layer 4 having the large refractive index are successively laminated on a transparent substrate 2. The layer 5 which substantially prohibits the reflection of rays for recording and reproducing such as laser beams is formed on the surface (recording layer 3 side) of a base in order to prevent the superposition of the reflected light from the base 6 on the reflected light from the recording layer 3. This layer 5 is formed by coating ink kneaded with, for example, a carbon black for absorbing light on the base or sticking a film, etc., contg. the carbon black thereon. The reflectivity is thereby improved.
