Abstract

PURPOSE:To allow the amount of scatter in thermal decomposition temperatures to disappear and form uniform solid electrolytes, by forming thermal decomposition of manganese nitrate in the inactive vapor phase of fluorine system at a process where a manganese dioxide layer is formed. CONSTITUTION:A sintered body is formed by using powder tantalum and the sintered body is immersed in formation liquid and a voltage is applied to form an oxide film. Then, after immersing its body in the water solution of 20% manganese nitrate, it is decomposed in the inactive vapor phase of fluorine system at a temperature of 260 deg.C to form a manganese dioxide layer. Subsequently, after immersing in the water solution of 40% manganese nitrate, it is again decomposed in the inactive vapor phase at a temp. of 260 deg.C and then, after immersing in the water solution of 70% manganese nitrate, it is further decomposed in the inactive vapor phase at a temp. of 260 deg.C to form the manganese dioxide layer.
