Abstract

PURPOSE:To dispense with time reversal processing and to shorten a measuring time and a processing time by reducing Fourier transform processing, by applying Fourier transform only to phase encoding quantity. CONSTITUTION:A uniform static magnetic field is applied to a human body 2 by a magnet 1 and an electromagnetic wave is allowed to irradiate the human body 2 by a high frequency coil 3. Next, a static magnetic field is gradated by an inclined magnetic field coil 5. The electromagnetic wave emitted from the atomic nucleus in the human body 2 is detected by the receiving part of a transceiver 4 through the high frequency coil 3. A computer 8 controls the power supply 6 for the inclined magnetic field coil and the transceiver 4 through a control part 7 and the image obtained as a result is displayed on an image display device 9. The computer 8 applies Fourier transform only to one of a pair of receiving signals having phase encoding quantities same in an absolute value and reverse in a code with respect to a time to correct a phase and subsequently performs complex conjugating operation to calculate other data and, thereafter, Fourier transform is applied to phase encoding quantities to calculate an image.
