PURPOSE:To obtain an anticorneoulcerative which has high affinity to the lipid layer in the epithelial cells of cornea and acts effectively by staying on the corneal surface for many hours, using an acyl derivative of superoxide dismutase as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:The subject anticorneoulcerative contains the compound of the formula (n is 2-18; m is 2-20; particularly, n is 8-14; m is 4-8). As the compound of the formula has high affinity to the lipid layer of epithelial cells in cornea, it effectively acts on the affected part by remaining on the cornea for many hours without rapid flowing-off by tears. The subject eye-drop composition (of 0.1-3% concentration) is obtained by dissolving the freeze-dried compound of the formula in the distilled water for injection containing a preservative such as benzalkonium chloride, an isotonicity such as NaCl, a buffer solution such as phosphates, a thickener, a protein stabilizer and others, filtering the solution, sterilizing.
