Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce an interference force between two lines of coiled layers and prevent the insulating film of a flat type wire from being damaged, by setting a space between the first line and the second line of the coiled layers, to be 12-35% of the width of the flat type wire, on a section for transferring the flat type wire in the direction of a coiling axis. CONSTITUTION:A flat type wire 15 is bridged between the winding drum sections 11a, 12a of coil formers 11, 12, and is rotated with the center of a driving shaft 14. In this case, the flat type wire 15 is transferred alternately between two positions in the coiling axis direction as shown by dotted line arrow heads on the winding drum 11a, and is coiled in two lines, and a pattern coil 16 is manufactured. So far as the winding drum section 11a of the coil former 11 of a transfer section 17 is concerned, a space S between the coiled layer 18 of a first line and the coiled layer 19 of a second line is set to be 12-35% of the width W of the flat type wire 15. As a result, a part of the bending deformation quantity of either one of the coiled layers 18, 19 is relieved by the space S, and a mutual interference force between the coiled layers 18, 19 is reduced.
