Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an electrostatic recording sheet which decreases voids of fine lines and abnormal dots by drooping toluene which is the essential solvent of a coating compd. for a dielectric layer onto the inclined surface of a conductive layer and maintaining the length at which the toluene flows down before the toluene dries to a specified value or above. CONSTITUTION:The colored toluene liquid is dropped from height of 1cm per drop (4mul) from an injection syringe onto the surface of the conductive layer which has >=600sec Bekk smoothness measured in accordance with JIS P8119 and is stuck to the flat surface inclined at 45 deg. in 25+ or -2 deg.C and 45+ or -5% RH atmosphere. The length (flowing down length) at which the liquid flows down before drying is maintained at >=60mm. Materials among conducting agents and adhesive agents which have resilience and good film formability are used in order to maintain the flowing down length at >=60mm. Pigments which have a lower oil absorption and consist of planar crystals are preferably used. The electrostatic recording sheet capable of executing the good recording with the decreased abnormal dots and voids of fine lines when the sheet is used for recording with high resolution electrodes of 16 dots/mm is thereby obtd.
