When connecting male and female connectors, it is unavoidable that there will be location errors of varying degrees in the corresponding contact parts, and normally the contact spring 12 absorbs the location errors and completes continuity. There is. If the location error is close to zero, the pair of contact springs 12 will both produce the same amount of displacement and the contact force at both contact points will be equal, but as the location error increases, one of the contact springs 12 will become excessively deformed. This causes permanent deformation, and the contact becomes unstable on the other hand.

The contact spring portion is provided with a portion to absorb a certain degree of location error, and the contact spring portion is moved in parallel to align the fitting center with the mating contact, thereby averaging out the deformation of the pair of contact springs.

is shown in a perspective view, and FIG. 3 shows a state in which it is fixed to the insulator 3 and an eccentric mating contact 4 is fitted. The socket contact 2 is characterized in that a parallel spring part 23 is provided between the fixed part 21 and the paired contact spring part 22, and if the mating contact 4 is eccentric as shown in FIG. When the two contact springs 22 are fitted together, the parallel spring portion 23 is deformed, and the distal end of the spring base 24 including the contact spring 22 is displaced parallel to the fixing portion 21, so that the two contact springs 22 are approximately parallel to each other. Equal deformation is performed and equal contact pressure is maintained.
The eccentricity described above refers to the component of the contact location error in one direction, that is, the component parallel to the plane of the paper in Figure 3b (arrow B), and the component in the perpendicular direction, that is, the component parallel to the plane of the paper in Figure 3a. Regarding the component (arrow A), there is no problem because the contact portion of the socket contact/contact spring 22 with the mating contact 4 has a sufficient degree of freedom in the direction of the arrow A with respect to the mating contact 4. Another embodiment is shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, and like the first embodiment, the contact part with the mating contact has freedom in the direction of arrow C, and a parallel spring that can be elastically deformed in the 90° direction. 23, the contact location error can be absorbed to a considerable extent.

By providing a parallel spring section between the fixing part of the socket contact to the insulator and the contact spring part having the contact part with the mating contact, the location error between the mating contact and the inserted mating contact can be absorbed and countermeasured. Stable contact can be obtained by dividing the displacement of the contact springs into equal parts.
