Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an automatic closing device which is quick in acting speed for control signal and still strong in closing operation force by performing closing action with magnetic shielding effect in superconductive state and strong magnetic attractive force in normal-conductive state on a high temperature superconductor. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic member 1, having a high temperature superconductor 2, is arranged opposite to a permanent magnet 3 with situating the high temperature superconductor 2 between them so as to be movable the members in the direction to the magnet, and a valve 5 which is an acting member is connected to this magnetic member 1. In this case, when the high temperature superconductor 2 is kept in superconductive state, the magnetic member receives force in the direction of arrow mark A according to magnetic shielding effect, so the valve becomes in closed state. Next, when electric current over critical value is applied by a control unit 11, the high temperature superconductor 2 changes in normal/conductive state, and the magnetic member 1 receives force in B direction according to magnetic absorptive force, thereby the valve becomes in open state. Moreover, an acting member isn't limited to the valve 5 but the device can be used as a closing device of various kind like a movable contact shoe.
