CONSTITUTION:In the tomographic image 1 of a human body by an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus, a density value is lowest at the center of a blood vessel part 2 and becomes higher as approaches the wall of the blood vessel. Therefore, a searching region 4 containing the blood vessel part 2 is provided centering around a blood flow measuring point 3 and, when the projection data 5 is calculated, the projection data value in the vicinity of the center part of the blood vessel becomes lowest. Herein, the point 7 in the blood vessel can be detected from coordinates 6 where the value of the projection data 5 becomes min.
