Abstract

PURPOSE:To stably regenerate a flue gas treating adsorbent by allowing the component desorbed from the inactivated adsorbent to ascend through a second heat-exchange region along with an inert gas at the time of heating and regenerating the inactivated adsorbent. CONSTITUTION:The inactivated adsorbent flows down in a heat-transfer tube, a heating gas supplied from a line 5 passes upward through the outside of the heat-transfer tube, and the inactivated adsorbent is preheated. The inactivated adsorbent flows down to the second heat-exchange region 7, a heating gas supplied from a line 9 passes through the heating side of the second heat- exchange region, and the inactivated adsorbent in the tube is heated to the regeneration temp. of 350-500<=. When the inactivated adsorbent flows down is the tube, SO2, SO3, hydrogen halide, ammonia, etc., are desorbed, and the adsorbent is regenerated and transferred to an inert gas introducing region 10. By this method, the concn. of NH3 in the gas to be discharged to the outside of the system can be kept low.
