Abstract

PURPOSE:To lower cost by providing and integrally forming a base part, a decorative piece, a projecting piece, and a supporting piece. CONSTITUTION:A spacer 1 is integrally extrusion molded, with a soft synthetic resin or rubber. The spacer 1 is installed along the wall-part bottom face of a hollow member 12. In a part where the width of the wall-part bottom face of the hollow member 12 is above a defined width, a supporting piece 5 is squashed by the wall-part bottom face of the hollow member making a base part 2 nearly a flat condition. At this time, a projecting piece 4 is nearly brought into contact with the inner peripheral face of the hollow-member wall part 15. Also, in a part where the width of the wall-part bottom face is below the defined width, only the part from the supporting piece 5 toward the decorative piece 3 of the base part 2 is pushed out by the bottom face of a wall part 14, causing the part toward the projecting piece 4 of the base part 2 to be erected because of the supporting body 5. The projecting piece 4 on the end of the erected part is brought into contact with or close to the inner peripheral face of the wall part 14 of the hollow member 12. That is, the substantial width of the spacer 1 can be varied in accordance with the width of the wall-part bottom face of the hollow member 12.
