Abstract
PURPOSE:To bond a label without making wrinkles conspicuous and to enhance the sense of beauty of a container, by using an extensible label to bond the same so that the wrinkles generated on the label when the label is provided along a curved surface becoming a surface to be bonded are finely divided and dispersed along the curved surface by utilizing the extensibility of the label. CONSTITUTION:As the material quality of a label, for example, paper and a plastic sheet can be selected. The label 4 after printing is continuously supplied to the nip of a pair of rollers 5, 6 and the surface of one roller 5 is provided with a large number of wrinkle like uneven parts and the surface of the other roller 6 is covered with a soft material. When the label 4 is supplied to the nip of the rollers 5, 6, a large number of small wrinkles are formed to the label by the roller 5 to impart extensibility thereto. The label thus obtained is laminated to the curved surface of a container and bonded to the container by utilizing the size on the back surface thereof. At the time of bonding, the pleats 11 generated by providing the label 10 along the container 9 having the curved surface are finely divided or dispersed in the diameter direction of the container 9.
