Abstract

PURPOSE:To securely prevent the occurrence of breakage, by attaching a reinforced tape on the upper edge of each bent portion of the circumferential side wall, which has been bent and stapled, at the corner of a corrugated fibreboard outer packaging box which has been folded upright from the extended condition. CONSTITUTION:Each bent corner 32a of a circumferential side wall 32 of an outer packaging box 3 with a shape of tray, is constituted and reinforced with a reinforcement tape 34, which is made of filament tape with fibre, etc. The circumferential side wall 32 of a corrugated fibreboard 30, of which bottom plate 31 and circumferential side wall 32 are in extended condition, is folded upright at the line to be bent; and each corner 32a is bent; then the reinforcement tapes 34, in a mounting condition, are pasted on the inner and outer surfaces at the upper edge parts. Under this condition, the corrugated fibreboard 30 is bent to form; and the bent and overlapped circumferential side walls 32, 32 are fixed with staples 33 in such a manner that a part of the reinforcement tape 34, which is attached on the inner side of the circumferential side wall, is inserted between the circumferential side walls 32, 32. In this manner, the occurrence of breakage, which is caused by a large inertial force affecting the content in the outer packaging box during transportation, can be securely prevented.
