Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (C3F5 is 1- or 2-perfluoropropenyl; R1 and R2 are 1-5C perfluoroalkyl or together with N form a 5-7-membered heterocyclic group). EXAMPLE:trans-Perfluoro(3-dimethylamino-2-propene). USE:Useful as a synthetic intermediate for a fluorine-containing product such as surfactants, agricultural chemicals and pharmaceuticals, a monomer for polymer, etc. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be produced by heating a perfluoro(3-disubstituted isobutyric acid) derivative of formula II [X is F, perfluoroalkoxy or -OM (M is alkali metal or alkaline-earth metal corresponding to one valent)] at 100-500 deg.C.
