Abstract

PURPOSE:To control a mixing valve with a high precision by detecting the temperature of mixed water, which flows down in a flow passage, at two different points of a flow passage section and setting the rotation direction and the angle of a valve body based on an average value of these detected temperatures. CONSTITUTION:A temperature sensor 15 of the mixing valve is provided with thermosensitive elements 16 and 17 which can detect local temperatures at two points H and L at the time of inserting the sensor 15 to a horizontal tube part 4a. These thermosensitive elements 16 and 17 detect and output temperatures of mixing water flowing in levels of points H and L. A motor 7 is provided with a control part 18 which controls the direction and the angle of rotation of its output shaft 7a based on the signal from the temperature sensor 15. When the temperature signal is inputted to the control part 18, the average temperature is calculated to control a valve body 6. Thus, the temperature of mixing water is surely and quickly set again because of the control based on the average value when the temperature distribution is not uniform in the vertical direction.
