The gene can be produced by preparing a DNA from an mRNA derived from a rat IL-1beta- producing cell, connecting the DNA to a proper vector such as plasmid vector of Escherichia coli, proliferating in a microbial cell, separating a clone capable of expressing rat IL-1beta and separating a DNA obtained by inserting the separated clone into a plasmid.
