Abstract

PURPOSE: To lower the connecting resistance of a metallic terminal having high conductivity by inserting an aluminum rivet with a collar section into a rivet hole in the good conductive metallic terminal plated with a metal, conducting and pressing a section between the head section of said aluminum rivet and the collar section and melting said metallic plating to connect the metallic terminal and the aluminum rivet.
CONSTITUTION: Good conductive electrolytic copper is employed as a terminal base material, and stamped, and the surface of electrolytic copper is electrically tinned, thus forming a metallic terminal 1. An aluminum rivet 5 to which a collar section 4 is shaped is inserted into a rivet hole 3, and a section between the head section 6 of the aluminum rivet 5 and the collar section 4 (between A and B) is pressed while currents are flowed. Consequently, the metallic terminal 1 and the aluminum rivet 5 are brought into contact, and a metallic plating layer 2 on the surface of the metallic terminal is melted, and fast stuck and fused to the aluminum rivet 5. The aluminum rivet 5 is inserted into a rivet hole in a hole sealing plate 10 in which polypropylene 8 is laminated onto one surface of a rigid insulator 7 and an elastic insulator 9 onto the other surface, and contact-bonded by a leading-out tab 13 led out of a capacitor element 12, the aluminum rivet 5 and the leading-out tab 13 are connected, and the capacitor element 12 is housed in a case 14.
