Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve measurement accuracy by the addition of relatively simple constitution by finding displacement from the distance between two light spots projected on a body to be measured. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the body 2 to be measured is slanted by a proper angle theta and a couple of projectors 1 and 1 installed on both sides of a photodetector 3 projects the light spots on the body 2 to be measured in two direction. This angle theta is set properly according to measurement accuracy, a temperature range, etc., which are required. Then the photodetector 3 detects the light spots by two-dimensional light receiving elements. An image processing part 4 connected to the photodetector 3 finds the distance between the couple of light spots to obtain the displacement quantity of the object body 2 from the distance.
