CONSTITUTION:When a pulse is outputted from a pulse generator 24, an in- phase pulse is supplied to a transistor (Tr)Q1, and a pulse with a negative phase to a TrQ2. Since the Trs Q1 and Q2 are turned ON when a pulse with positive polarity is inputted and the current I to be measured flows on the bypass current paths 22 and 23 alternately, magnetic fields in directions opposite to each other are generated in a current transformer CT, and the synthesized output current of diodes D2 and D3 flows continuously. In other words, the AC current is generated apparently by permitting current I to flow intermittently on the current paths 22 and 23 alternately, and it is detected by the transformer CT. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the number of components of a high frequency part, and to make a V/F converter, etc., unnecessary, and to miniaturize the device. Also, since no circuit in which a frequency changes such as the F/V converter, etc., is used, no influence on another circuit is given.
