CONSTITUTION:In a laser having two optically smooth surfaces, in which a laser beam 5 is reciprocated while the beam is internally totally reflected plural times on the smooth surfaces in a laser medium 6 of substantially rectangular section, a sealing route for sealing the whole periphery of the rectangular section of the medium 6 is set at a place where the laser beam 5 does not exist on the smooth surfaces.
