Abstract

PURPOSE:To configure a multi-path noise reduction circuit with high accuracy without increasing cost by utilizing information obtained in a reception processing of data for multi-path disturbance detection by microcomputer processing. CONSTITUTION:Data demodulator/decoder demodulating and decoding the data multiplexed with an FM broadcast and a microcomputer 11 receiving the data demodulator decoder output, detecting the degree of error of the received data, converting and outputting it into control data, a D/A converter 13 D-A converting the control data, and a stereo demodulator 8A connected to the D/A converter 13 are provided. Then the rate of the reception of the data signal multiplexed on the FM broadcast without error is detected and it is used as the measure of the multi-path disturbance so as to apply separation control and high-cut operation control of a stereo demodulator. Thus, the reduction in the multi-path noise is attained sufficiently.
