Abstract

CONSTITUTION:The manufacturing process wherein ferroelectric liquid crystal is used and an organic high polymer is used for the orienting film is provided with a process wherein a liquid crystal part is heated above the glass transition point of a high polymer constituting the orienting film part after a liquid crystal injecting process while a liquid crystal part is held above its transparency point and above its fusion point and a process wherein the panel is cooled thereafter. For this temperature control, electric heating to a conductor layer provided between the orienting film in, for example, the panel and the transparent substrate is used in addition to external heating by a normal thermostatic chamber.
