Abstract

PURPOSE:To dispense with an erasing circuit by selection-outputting a sound signal and an FM video signal to be outputted from an intermediate level preparing circuit onto a recording head. CONSTITUTION:The titled recorder is equipped with an intermediate level preparing circuit 18 to make a signal outside a PCM signal period into a binary intermediate level M and switching circuits 22 and 24 to selectively output a sound signal S and an FM video signal YFM from the circuit 18 to recording heads 30 and 32. Namely, by setting the signal outside the PCM signal period at the intermediate level M, an effect equal to the time of inserting the pulse signal of duty 50% can be naturally obtained. By switching the switching circuits 22 and 24, the fluctuation of direct current components can not be generated. Thus, the erasing circuit to be operated by a good timing in order to delete only unnecessary signals can be made unnecessary.
