Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure the positions and phases of the bolt and nut without contacting by measuring the coordinates of the center of gravity and phase of the bolt or nut with the signal of the bolt or nut detected from video data. CONSTITUTION:A camera 1 picks up an image of the bolt and nut. The analog signal outputted by the camera 1 is inputted to an A/D converter 2. The converter 2 converts the signal into a digital video signal. The digital video signal is stored in an image memory 3. The signal stored in the image memory 3 is converted by an address-coordinate converting means 4 into coordinates. A detecting means 5 detects the signal of the bolt or nut with the signal after the coordinate conversion. The coordinate signal of the bolt or nut is used to measure the coordinates of the center of gravity by a position measuring means 6 and the phase by a phase measuring means 7.
