Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve a sensitivity characteristic without accepting the irradiation of light except photoirradiation when the electrostatic latent image of an image carrier is formed and an image forming means is in operation by prohibiting the action of a light emission destaticizing means when the image forming means is in operation. CONSTITUTION:The electrostatic latent image formed on the photosensitive drum 2 of an image forming device 1 is made visible by means of developer and the visualized image is transferred to a recording sheet by corona discharging in the image forming means 3. The image transferred to the recording sheet is fixed by means of a fixing device 4. After the visualized image is transferred to the recording sheet, residual toner on the drum 2 is eliminated by a cleaning plate 5 and electric charges electrified on the surface of the drum 2 are eliminated by an eraser lamp 6. The means 3 consists of an exposure device 8 and a magnetic roll 9. The lamp 6 as the light emission destaticizing means is set not to work when the means 3 and the plate 5 is working so that the means 3 doesn't accept the photoirradiation except the one when the electrostatic latent image is formed.
