Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize an F class operation and a wide band area, by also using a push-pull operation additionally, and utilizing the odd and the even modes of a transmission line. CONSTITUTION:A rectifier circuit consisting of a pair of semiconductor devices 1, a dielectric substrate 2, a metallic conductor 3, a coaxial line 4, a coaxial line central conductor 5, a bonding wire 6, a slit 7, the terminating short- circuited part of the metallic conductor 3, and the end part 9 of the slit 7 and in which impedance observing the load side from the output side of the device 1 for the F class operation is set at a short-circuited and an open states, respectively for an even-order and an odd-order higher harmonics is attached on the output side of an amplifier, however, the output voltage and the current waveform of the device 1 become a rectangular wave and a half-wave rectified sing wave, respectively, which require low power consumption. By oscillating the device 1 at a negative phase and taking out its output differentially, a B class push-pull operation can be performed, and no even-order high harmonic is generated. By attaching the slit 7 of lambda/4 of the fundamental frequency of the device 1 in the center of the conductor width of a terminating short-circuited line, the end 9 of the slit goes to a short-circuit point.
