Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve a sealing performance of filtration chambers of a dehydrator, wherein a slurry is forced into the filtration chambers closed with a movable wall and dehydrated, by forming the movable wall into a square shape and arranging four pushers so as to push four corners of that movable wall. CONSTITUTION:Filter chambers 1 is closed with a movable wall which is moved toward a line of filter chambers 1 by drawing in a rod 12 of a cylinder 3 to expand links 8a-8h so that these links 8a-8h make straight lines. Then, a slurry is forced into the filtration chambers 1 by way of a supply path 13 and a filtrate is discharged by way of filtrate chambers 5 and a filtrate path 14. Links 8a, 8c, 8e and 8g push four corners of the movable wall 2 so as to apply a force to the periphery of the movable wall 2. After a dehydration operation, the movable wall 2 is moved toward the opposite direction to the line of filtration chambers and the filtration chambers 1 are opened by extending the rod 12 of the cylinder 3 to turn down 8a.8b, 8c.8d, 8e.8f, 8g.8h, respectively.
