Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the line length short and to cope with even the change in the production amt. flexibly by installing in parallel the another rolling line consisting of a reversible rolling mill and coil box to the rolling line consisting of the tandem rolling mill group including a coil box and reversible rolling mill. CONSTITUTION:The medium pressure slab fed from a continuous casting machine is inserted to the heating furnace 5 on a rough rolling line 2. The slab 6' reaching the specified temp. is extracted from the heating furnace 5, passed through underneath a coil box 3 and subjected to the reverse rolling of plural passes by edgers E1, E2 and a rough rolling mill R. A stock to be rolled which is rolled to the specified plate thickness and width is wound on a coil by the coil box 3. It is then inserted to the coil box 3' of a finishing tandem rolling line 1 by a coil transfer device 7 and after being rolled in one direction by a tandem rolling mill 4, it is wound by a down coiler 8. The line capable of coping with a multiproduct low production direction and having a short and compact line length can be thus obtd.
