CONSTITUTION:At the time of drawing the cast billet 4, a stainless steel-made pipe 9 inserted into a space (a) formed with the cast billet 4, a heat insulating felt 6, graphite mold 1 and molten metal 8 as penetrating the heat insulating felt 6 from outer part and the carbon monoxide gas is filled up in the space (a) through the above pipe 9. Waste gas reacted with oxygen in the space 8 is exhausted to out part from sliding face with the porous heat insulating felt 6 or the heat insulating felt 6 and the cast billet 4. By this method, the service life of the mold is extended and the productivity can be improved.
