Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture a composite trimming material for a vehicle having sufficient adhesive strength at a low cost, by a method wherein simultaneously with extrusion of a core layer of a data material a cushion layer is laminated to one side of the core layer, heat-fusion of which and the cushion layer of the backside of a skin material is performed. CONSTITUTION:Polystyrene resin P is extruded through a circular die 6, while a core layer 5a is formed of a foam and a PS skin layer 5b is superposed respectively upon both the faces of the core layer 5a with T dies 7, 8. Directly after the superposition, a cushion layer 4 such as a urethane foam is laminated to a one side PS skin layer 5b, involved-in by a pair of press rolls 13 for pressure welding and a base material 5 provided with a cushion layer is obtained. Then a urethane foam face of a skin material provided with the urethane foam, which is obtained by welding a skin material 2 and a cushion layer 3 together beforehand through a device such as heat-fusing, is melted by receiving a horizontal flame 22 through a gas burner 21 arranged on the side parts of a pair of press rolls 20. Directly after the above, the same is superposed upon the base material 5 provided with the cushion layer and involved in a pair of press rolls 20 for pressure welding.
