Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to handle a plurality of vehicles by use of a carriage with a rectilinear motion alone in a device for conveying a vehicle on a floor of a three-dimensional parking building, by providing means for moving the articles between the carriage and the floor, on both floor and carriage. CONSTITUTION:A carriage 6 reciprocates on a railway 10 so as to convey a pallet 8, and is provided therein with rollers 34 as a moving means by which the pallet 8 is delivered or received to and from a floor. Further, a moving means 12 composed of rollers 34 are laid on the floor. With this arrangement, the vehicle 02 is stored on the moving means 12, being set on the pallet 8. Then, the carriage 6 is moved on the railway 10 to a predetermined moving means 12, and the vehicle 02 is moved to the carriage 6 with the use of their rollers 34 and then delivered by the carriage 6. Upon introduction of a vehicle, the above-mentioned steps are carried out in the reverse order. With this arrangement, it is possible to handle a plurality of vehicles with the use of only one carriage.
